Lala-Marin

I saw Brave last night, and now I'm hooked on doodling Merida. Good lord; her hair was beautiful! Overall, it was a very beautiful film that I related to on a personal level (being a girl, and having a mom like Queen Elinor, who tends to assert more than she listens), so I'm pretty happy with it. Go see it this weekend! Also, bravo to the writing staff and animators for this morning's season finale of Legend of Korra. There was a very specific twist in the story that I'd been anticipating since the beginning of the season, but they took it much farther than I thought they would, which really blew me away. Character development= yay!

No updates in three years...I am SO on top of things. First off: a belated thank you to anyone who favorited my deviations while I was gone. That said... I just looked through my gallery, and I am not happy with it. While I don't hate most of my older work as much as I had anticipated, I will most likely be taking a LOT (if not all) of it down sometime this summer. I've discovered a lot more about myself as an artist during my absence, and I just don't feel that my gallery accurately represents me anymore. That said, while I will be taking down the Bleach/Avatar comic pages permanently, it was an interesting enough concept that I might do

Thank God- the spring semester is finally over. I'm going to catch up on a lot of sleep before Anime North in May and my trip to Japan in July, but before I leave the country, I'll try and get some new art up. If I'd learned how to laugh as a child, I would right now.
